BSW aims to deliver a certification system available worldwide and develop assessment programmes that respond to racquet-sport and player needs. BSW aims to support stringer development through education and assessment, and to improve public understanding of BSW-certified services. Where a formal collaboration or recognition arrangement is documented, BSW may work with the relevant organization on credential understanding in that market.
How does BSW ensure impartiality?
BSW is committed to safeguarding and assuring the impartiality of its certification activities at strategic and operational levels. BSW will not allow commercial, financial and other pressures to compromise impartiality. BSW ensures its committees operate with balanced views and representations from key stakeholders and interested parties, including equipment manufacturers, professional players, sports scientists, and data analysts, without permitting any one interest to predominate or receive favour.
How is BSW financed?
BSW is a not-for-profit establishment. BSW’s main source of revenue is from fees collected from certification applicants as well as its assessment activities. Any surplus is reinvested into improving our certification processes and advancing the field of racquet stringing. BSW is committed to maintaining financial transparency.
